El Vagón de Baides is an original and attractive place to stay in the northernmost area of La Alcarria, in the foothills of the Serranía de Guadalajara, and is the only Singular Rural Accommodation in the province. These are two old freight cars, which have been carefully renovated and transformed into comfortable apartments by their owners, respecting the original aesthetics of the exterior of each. In addition, it features a traditional type of construction called El Apeadero, which recreates precisely a traditional seasonal way station.

Its owners have thought of every detail and every type of guest, so outside each accommodation there is a cozy terrace to enjoy, in addition to common areas to enjoy such as garden and barbecue, and the convenience of a dirt car park at the entrance. Pets are accepted in the Vagón de Baides, and passengers with reduced mobility have easy access to the Apeadero via the entrance ramp, in addition to an adapted bathroom on its ground floor.
El Apeadero is an ideal accommodation for a family or small group, as it can be rented individually. It accommodates up to four people distributed in two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds; the bedrooms are very bright and cozy, as they are located on the upper floor with attic ceilings. The main room is a large living room, decorated in a cheerful rustic-modern style, with a set of sofas and a pellet stove, which you can sit in front of during the cozy autumn and winter evenings. The kitchen is open and integrated into the living room, fully equipped with appliances. The house has two full bathrooms, one of them located on the ground floor, accessible to people with reduced mobility.
In the town of Baides, the importance of the railway has been key and gives it a unique personality and character; the Museum of the Baides Railway is currently being completed, a very important tourist attraction for the area with a lot of charm, located a few meters from El Vagón de Baides. In addition, another of the privileges of the area is that it is halfway between the Alcarria Alta, and the Serranía area, located to the north.
This rich environment offers multiple activities such as guided tours to La Siguenza, and Sierra Norte de Guadalajara and many equestrian activities
