Molino del Caracol has been converted by Juana and Paco, its current owners, into a charming, comfortable and private house with an attractive garden. The old mill was restored in 1990 with the invaluable help of the English architect George Barnes, a friend of the previous owner Elizabeth Dadley. In the rehabilitation project, special care was taken to respect all the traditional charm of the mill, maintaining and recovering its thick stone walls, terracotta floors and wooden ceilings. In addition, most of the furniture was handmade by another former owner, a carpenter craftsman who was known to everyone as "El Rubio".

Molino del Caracol can accommodate up to 8 people, but an extra charge is payable from the 6th person. The property is distributed in three bedrooms: 1 bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom; 2 double bedrooms with two single beds each; and 1 sofa bed in the living room. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating. The house also has a travel cot and the possibility of adding two extra beds.
Molino del Caracol has an entrance hall to the main living room, spacious and with fireplace (wood included in price), equipped with TV and DVD, and a collection of games and a library. The beautiful, rustic dining room, with a large table that easily accommodates 6-8 people, is decorated with traditional handmade tiles and pine wood antique furniture. It is equipped with: fridge and freezer, induction hob, dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, toaster, juicer, kettle, washing machine, etc.
There are two bathrooms, one en-suite in the master bedroom with double bed, and the other overlooking the garden, both fully fitted, with wooden tiles and fixtures.
Outside, there is a beautiful garden with a barbecue and a stone terrace next to the kitchen, where you can enjoy your meals in the open air under the shade of the vine and the centenary fig tree. On the terrace there is an old millstone that can be used as a table. From the garden, there is access to the private swimming pool, equipped with parasols and sun loungers.
Situated on the outskirts of Benaoján, from the mill you can enjoy the aroma and the views of the typical Andalusian mountain range, dressed with olive trees and holm oaks. Furthermore, from Molino del Caracol the traveller has easy access to the interior of Sierra de Grazalema, as well as to the villages of Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas, both of which have been declared historic sites of great value.
